I have a couple of desktop shortcuts that use the Winamp icon. I would like to change them to something more striking,

I right-clicked the icon and selected Properties but it doesn't offer me a way to change the icon. Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

Try creating a new shortcut to each of the Winamp applications using the same path settings. That should free up the icon choice for you,

You mean "Change Icon" is not available on the Shortcut tab after selecting Properties?

I'm running Premium 7 and to change icons is a simple matter of clicking the 'Change Icons' button.

If it's a shortcut, it's under 'Properties', middle button between 'Open File Location' and 'Advanced'. If it's not a shortcut, it's under 'Properties', 'Customize' tab.

As an example - looking at iTunes shortcut the [Change Icon] button is greyed out!

If it is a "special" shortcut created when the program was installed it uses a registered object for the icon. These "special" shortcuts do not allow the icon to be changed.
