    Update Date (Excel 2000)

    Is there any way of inserting a date into a cell that updates automatically whenever any data on a worksheet is changed or modified. I don't need to update when I only view the sheet.

    You could put this code in the worksheet's change event routine:

    <pre>Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
    Application.EnableEvents = False
    ActiveSheet.Range("A1").Value = Now()
    Application.EnableEvents = True
