    Hi Folks,

I just downloads the latest version of BitDefender 2010 A/V suite and it brings my computer to a complete halt. First I'd to reinstall it three times until it allows me to register, next it block the Internet after about a minute or so, third the computer freeze after 5 minutes. I contact tech support and here's what they replied:

    " I have 2010 Antivirus XPPro Sp3

Well, I have not heard from them since then. I'm at the point of dropping this product, but before I'll do that I can use use some
suggestion. My previous version worked well (2008).

    Regards,

    Moshe

Ah, Venice. Happy memories of Casablanca tortillas and calamari steak. But I digress...

Is it possible to roll back to a working but still reasonably up-to-date version of BitDefender? I realize that this can be difficult because intermediate upgrades may be automatic and not leave you with a usable installer. Otherwise, I assume you are using something else temporarily??

I don't know that there are many BitDefender users here, but while you wait, you could try the company's forum: BitDefender Forum -> BitDefender 2010 Products.

Hi, I looked at their support page and it didn't offer much help about this issue. My computer is still can't access the web. I'll try to remove this product later on today. Frankly I'm very disappointed with the anemic tech support that I'd contacted.

    Cheers,

    Well,

I finally managed to solve the problem. I removed the program BitDefender 2010 A/V, removed ZoneAlarm Firewall. Reinstall BitDefender, run update and it seems to work. I'm not
sure if that was the only cause, all I know is the ZoneAlarm was not running. I never heard from BitDefender support again.

    Thanks for the advise
    I'll end this thread

    Cheers,

    Venice-boy
