I have been asked to add a month to a dropdown list, but this is not a standard list that you point to code elsewhere to present the dropdown

when i go to data validation i see the following code, which I dont understand

    =OFFSET(MonthStart,1,0,COUNTA(MonthList),1)

Can I add new data to add new months to the dropdown?

Sorry for being dumb, but thank you

You have a range named monthlist in your workbook. If you are using a version pre-2007, choose Insert-Name-Define, then select MonthList from the list of names and you should see what range it refers to. You can add your new month to that range and if necessary expand the Name's refersto range to include the new data.
