IE 8 was installed recently and I just got around to seeing all the new thinks it can do. There are several things I need explained.
Under Manage Add-ons>Toolbars & Extensions. I see "DHTML Edit Control Safe for Scripting for IE5." It's enabled with a file date of 7/27/2009 Version: 126.96.36.19947.
I'm not using that version of IE, so how did it get there and how do I remove or disable it, if either is called for?
What exactly are Accelerators?
Under that I see Blog with Windows Live, with the Status being:default.
Also, E-mail with Windows Live; Map with Live Search; and Translate with Live Search (all of these are labled as Default).
I didn't install Live Search or Windows Live. What should I do with those and how did they get listed if not installed?
I have a lot to learn about IE 8, rather late than never. IE8 Help has proved to be very useful for other topics.

IE8: Accelerators | Charles | Channel 9 for a short video explanation about accelerators. The ones you mentioned are part of the default IE8 installation. You may remove any you do not want around. To manage Accelerators right click a blank area on a web page then select All Accelerators | Manage Accelerators. If you want to check out other accelerators go to Accelerators - Add-ons Gallery.
If you want to remove the extension go ahead. If you get to a page where the extension is needed the installation will be offered automatically.
