Why does MSO2010 beta open up a new tab in Firefox with title like: file:///C:/Users/..myname../AppData/Local/Temp/OSCPP%201.html when one searches for a contact, or hits on a senders name? Any ideas...

Is this the 32-bit Outlook client or the 64-bit client or the Outlook Web App?

I'm guessing Firefox is your default browser? If Outlook 2010 is unable to handle the request type it will hand it off the designated application that is better suited to do the job. What I have seen on mine is if Outlook is unable to open a graphic it will give you the option to open it in a browser.

    Hmmm...You may be right.
But it happens in IE8 also...

How can one disable the 'Option' ??

This is of course Beta software, so you may seeing something unintended as well. I would suggest you post a message in the appropriate Beta forum if you are enrolled in the Beta program. Otherwise it is likely to be a wait and see situation come mid 2010.
