It is TweakUI on steroids. There have been several other tweak programs that worked well, but this is the ultimate tweaker for Win 7. It allows dozens of customizations and tweaks. My latest was a problem with desktop icons after I attempted an install of Photoshop Elements 7. Not compatible with Win 7 64 bit. It overlaid my desktop shortcut icons and an uninstall and restore did not fix the problem I found a tweak under Additional Tweaks that allowed NTFS to heal and my icons were back.

I too have downloaded but not yet installed. Thanks Joe!

Just a tiny "rant" about this and MANY other software titles: WHY do the authors or distributors give their programs such non-informative names such as UWT.ZIP??? In this day of long file names they could call it UltimateWindowsTweaker and make my memory work a whole lot easier when I'm looking through a HUGE software repository for some program. Rant Off now...

(The software directory on my hard drive has almost 2,000 files, many of which admittedly are dupes or quite old.)

I agree, some of the file names make no sense. Try looking at Sony Vaio file names. They are about the worst I've seen. It does not take any further effort to type a usable name rather than the trash they sometimes come up with.

A lot of them still use "setup.exe" or even "install.exe".

Now, "SetupProgramNameV1-2.exe" would have a lot more meaning with a version indicator.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I usually just rename the download file to the app name and (if applicable) version. Of course I get a little retentive and usually drop it in a similarly named folder, but that allows me to save the license key and purchase information in the folder as well (again, if applicable).

Thanks for the Tweak info. I just installed my first Win7 yesterday and was looking for ways to trim it down/spruce it up.
