I clicked "send" to send a personal message and got a response
    The following errors were found:
    Array

which I don't pretend to understand at all

I have a more complete screenshot for any moderator who would care to receive it privately.

Is this repeatable? There is some ongoing construction work on the back end, so you might try again in a bit and see whether it works then.

Hi Jefferson. It's about 6 hours later (3am EST) and I have re-typed the message from the original (larger) screenshot and received the same error message.
I'll send you a url in a PM.

This is just bad error reporting on the part of the software. It looks like it's expecting a string that it can print and instead it's been passed an array. I'll create a bug report and put it in our list of things that can get fixed. Any more information you can give me so that I can reproduce this error will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tony

Tony, I can't speak for Skitterbug, but I will (grin)
I can send you the raw text via PM if you like, complete with 24 colon-lol-colon emoticons in a row, but ....

    Experiment 1 - 9:15am EST this morning:
Laboriously re-retyped the text, clicked SEND and for the third time got the ARRAY error.
Reclicked SEND and got the Edit permission error.

So it is definitely reproducible, hopefully without sending a snarky PM to Skitterbug, God bless her.

    Experiment 2
    - 9:20am EST:
Pasted a copy of the text into a new reply , clicked SEND and got the ARRAY error.
Reclicked SEND and got the Edit permission error.

    Experiment 3 - 9:25am EST
Pasted a copy of the text without a series of colon-lol-colon into a new reply and achieved success (Skitterbug is now licking her wounds)

So the colon-lol-colons appear to be part of the trigger

    Experiment 4 - 9:30am EST:
clicked the colon-lol-colon icon in an empty message in the TEST area clicked SEND and got (drum roll)
"You have posted a message with more emoticons than the Lounge allows. Please reduce the number of emoticons contained within this message. "

So the colon-lol-colons are confirmed to be part of the trigger.
The error-detection im the PM area appears to differ from that in the TestArea.

I'm not a big fan of emoticons, but I'll swear that Skitterbg used to send me PMs with about a million and a half emoticons; took me hours trying to figure out what she was saying.
I almost asked JScher to write us an emoticon-to-English translator ...
