Is there a legit way to get copies and a license to use older tools? I was asked to make some changes to a program originally written in VB 6 but I do not have a copy myself and have not had any luck as yet finding an answer on the MS site. I can't be the only one who has ever been in this situation.

    Thanks,

MSDN Subscribers are able to download products back to VB2 - with the exception of certain items affected by the Sun Java settlement. VB6 is definitely among the items that are downloadable.

I did not realize you could do that with MSDN. However, I doubt the small changes would allow me to make anything after I paid for the lowest price option that allows me downloads of previous versions. I will see if the company wants to buy the tools for use on my behalf.
