Which browser do you use? Are you noticing this problem with any other sites?

I think, but can't prove, that it's a "characteristic" of Yahoo mail. I have that same problem - slooooow - on both this computer and one at the nursing home where I volunteer. Some residents there use Yahoo and they're on a very fast network. Yahoo mail takes forever to do anything. Don't use it much, so I've never tried to chase it down.

Modern webmail sites are very complex programs that change frequently. Problems can suddenly arise that can only be fixed by the developers. That said, if you experience problems in multiple browsers, it could be a setting in your security software. For example, the software may have lists of approved and unapproved domains for scripts, images, ads, cookies, and so on. If you have privacy and content filtering features in your security suite, can you poke through those? Besides yahoo.com, I think Yahoo uses yimg.com and probably others.
