T'bird has been filing some incoming mail as JUNK. When I go to the Junk Log I can see it listed there. HOW can I retrieve some of the items that to me are NOT Junk?

Running WinXP SP3 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.23

Have a look at your Account Options. There will be a setting telling you what is done with Junk mail. Alter it to suit your needs.

By "Junk Log," do you mean the Junk folder? Just drag the e-mail out of that folder and drop it in the folder you want it in. Or right-click on the e-mail entry in the upper pane, go down to Move To, and select the folder into which you want it moved. To "un-junk" it, click on the flame icon, or, when viewing the e-mail, click on the "This is Not Junk" button that appears above the message pane.
