    This may be an old question but I can not find any reference to it. Is it possible to have only one "from address" displayed per line in the from field on an email message? I can only see run-on addresses and it drives me nuts. I get emails from blackberries now and they are stacked, one per line. I have wanted to see this in Outlook for years, Like 15 or so.
    Thanks;
    Pete

    I do not understand what you are asking to achieve?

    Pete, the short answer is...no, the display sender and recipient names in a vertical stack as you see on BB:

    Pete Wyatt;
    Dave A;
    John B F;
    Don Duck;

    is not an option in Outlook.

    I was afraid of that. As I started getting emails sent from BBs I was given new hope. I am surprised a request for this functionality has not been raised. I guess my old decmail days are showing.

    Thanks for your answer,
    Pete

    Dave,
    Does Johns response help you understand my question?

    Not really, just looks like the email is sorted by sender.

    This is the way the email [from] field displays now:

    Mark Bartlett; Joe Behr; Jennifer Bisbee; Bill Bright; Greg Cox; Todd Dinner; JD Faulkner; Mike Faulkner; Scott Faulkner; Dave Hinz; Bob Kowallis; Paul Markiewicz; Doug Mercier; Mike Parry; Tony Piglowski; Nelson Risedorph; Rick Seibel; Chris Shearer; mbraton@dodo.net; Michael.P.Parry@dummy.com; Rosanne Cole; Beth Mulkin; Mike Whitcher; Tom Adomaitis; Lisa Baker; Donna Cilensek; Dawna Rotert; Heather Jager; Jodi Millin; Matt Allen; Ken Bartlett; Bradley Brown; Tony Betty & Tommy Chapman ....

    This is how I would like to see it, at least at my discretion:

    Mark Bartlett;
    Joe Behr;
    Jennifer Bisbee;
    Bill Bright;
    Greg Cox;
    Todd Dinner; and so forth.

    Of course the disadvantage is you may have to scroll a long way to get to the message body. The first example makes it difficult to search for a particular name to see if you should forward a message to more people.

    Does that help?

    How can you get more than one name in the "From" field?

    Are you sure that you are not seeing the To and/or CC field?

    Of course I do not use a Blackberry so I still do not understand your question?

    Dave, I think the OP means all the recipients, not just the sender. On a Blackberry they are all listed in a single vertical stack, and though it uses a lot of screen real-estate, it's easier for the eye to read them all compared to the comma separated multiple addresses per row system that Outlook (and many other email programs) uses.

    Didn't I say "to field?" I could swear I said to. "To" would make much more sense. You just don't have the same skill as my wife. No matter how I mangle a statement she knows what I meant to say and is not confused by what I do say. A sincere apology DaveA.
