To graffiti or not to graffiti

I've been scratching away on the ol' Palm for about a year and a half. What bugs me is that I still can't get my handwritting up to graffiti standandards. I started wondering if I shouldn't just go ahead and switch to the hunt-n-peck keyboard. It seems to me that it will be a LOT faster than graffiti could ever be. Anyone out there have some comparison stories to tell? I'd appreciate your advice!

Have you tried practicing with the "games" provided with the Palm OS software? "Subhunt" is a great way to learn the characters correctly, and quickly.

The only other suggestion I'd have for you is to splurge and get a keyboard for your Palm... Not as pretty, but if you can type at a half decent rate, you're on your way!

A valuable tip is to "write" your graffiti characters as large as possible in the graffiti area. I have found this to greatly improve recognition. The only character I consistenly miss is the colon, but I guess that's just my personal bugbear. <img src=/S/sigh.gif border=0 alt=sigh width=15 height=15>

If you need to do quantity entry, I have found none better than the Psion. The 3c is great!
