    I am trying to insert a GIF as my headshot & another one in my signature. Both images are saved in my machine. How can I upload them?

    I do see a new .gif under your user name on the left hand side of your post. Perhaps you have to refresh your cache to see it.

    A picture in your signature cannot be uploaded from your hard disk. It has to be a picture that already resides on a web page; you can then use the Image button to specify the URL of the image.

    What I see is a .jpeg image as head shot, although it is saved as .gif in my machine.

    This is what I currently see. The pix is different than it was an hour ago.

    This is what I see:

    [attachment=87390:x.png]

    When I right-click the image and select Properties from the popup menu, the URL is reported as http://upload.windowssecrets.net/uploads/av-24786.gif (24786 is your user number), so it does appear to be a .gif image.

    The image property reported it as .gif and it should behave like that. I have tested it with another .gif image & it was absolutely fine.
