    Thumbs up

I have an HP 110 netbook with XP Home ULCPU and it won't boot. No optical drive or floppy. I need to get into C: drive and rename C:/Boota to C:/Boot. Don't ask. I made a USB boot key with the HP exe file and ms-dos startup files. I can boot to an A:/ prompt but it won't let me change to C: drive. It can't see it. Outside of pulling the hardrive and installing it in another computer, what do I do. I am forgetting something. Any ideas?

Have you checked the BIOS to see if it still sees the disk drive?

Why go to the trouble of actually installing it in another system ?? Just slave it to another system externally, make the change and reinstall it in the laptop.
