In Excel's window to open a file, I created a favorite and added it to "My Places". How does one remove the favorite?

    Thanks,
    John

    Sorry, I'm sitting at a 2007 machine currently- I'll take a look when I'm at a 2003 machine.

    One possible reason :

Working in local area network (LAN) domain needs Power User OR Administrator rights to customize windows.

If working in a Work-group, where domain is not configured in server, every user has the right to do such things.
