    Compare values via formula (2000)

I have a spreadsheet that has two sheets in it. The first sheet has codes and descriptions in columns one and two, with associated values in column three. The first sheet also has a specific sort order and rows 1-50 are the key ones.

The second sheet has similar information to the first. The differences are: different values in column three and a different sort order.

Based on the sort order of the first sheet (looking at rows 1-50), I need to compare the values in column three of both sheets and create a chart of the values with the codes and descriptions as category/axis labels.

Lets say the 1-50 list is on sheet2, cells A1:C50.

In cell D1 of sheet1, enter this formula:

    =VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!$A$1:$C$50,3,False)
