I operate Windows 7 Home Premium with WMP 12. Recently I ripped a couple of CDs. When playing the tracks with WMP 12 there is a hiccup or pause before a little before the end of each track. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I assume that I will have to re rip in order to get clean tracks to put on a personal CD. Thanks!

Hard to know what is causing the problem, but a good test may be to use different ripping software. I use MediaMonkey (free version works nicely) and rip to FLAC format.

    cheers, Paul

Evidently the problem is with the WMP player. I used a player that comes with the Acoustica program that I've used to copy LPs, Tapes and burn CDS. When I played the songs that I ripped with WMP there was no problem.
