    Hallo,

    The attached sheet has a list of dates.

    In the next column, I want to show these based upon the Quarter they fall into.

    For example, Q1 for Quarter 1.

    You don't specify how your Quarters are determined. If it is a calendar year quarter, you can use (in B2 and then copy down):
    =INT((MONTH(A2)-1)/3)+1

    Edited to fix formula - was dividing by 4 instead of 3)

    =FLOOR((MONTH(A2)-1)/3,1)+1
    then copy down.
