    Hi,
I am using rounddown() to round a result to the next lowest integer. The problem arises when I then use the resultl to multiply a value in another cell. In this instance the formula in cell b2 is:

= rounddown(b1,0) and the returned value is 6 which is good.

When I multiply the rounded value in cell b2 by the value in cell b5 which is 208 the answer yielded is 1250 - which is incorrect. Under normal circumstances 6 * 208 = 1248

Is there any way of getting the rounddown result and converting it to a simple integer other than using paste value?

    Thanks

    Richard

I can't reproduce this problem. rounddown is performing as it should for me.
What version of Excel are you using?
