Please assist I seem to have lost the authority to Administer the Favorite Bar (cannot add or delete anything) either using the Favorites Bar or clicking favorites then selecting the favorites bar then in this case deleting an item.
I system keeps tellling me that I need permission - so I tried right clicking my IE 8 folder and choosing Run as Administrator - this does nothing as the same note as the attachments keeps coming up. I am the Administrator of the computer and log using my password each time --- any thoughts

Something seems to have become corrupted in you IE8 files. You might try to download IE8 from MS and reinstall.

Did you copy any folders to the current machine from another machine?

If so, delete the problem ones and recopy over the folder from your backup from the other machine.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Technically no, I was running Vista Home Premium on a another drive that I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium after approximately a week of running without any apparent problems I then cloned that set up to a new 1TB hard that is now my c: the old drive is now E: my backup. Additional, information that may help! -- The new drive & setup appeared to run well until - approximately a week I tried adding a new standard user. This is about the time that I notice things weren't as they were -- that post on users is in the Win7 forum and I note you have provided valuable information to my post there. So I am left to think that prehaps the user account setup is corrupt or malfunctioning... your advice would be appreciated.
