Looks like this forum hasn't had activity for a couple of years, so I'll get it going again! Kudos to Brian for making lots more people aware of this area in windowssecrets.com!!

I've got a spreadsheet with items sold on certain dates during 2009. It just has 3 columns - date sold, item sold, quantity sold. I need to get a chart that shows this activity for the whole year. There are days with no sales, but whenever I try to chart the data, those dates don't appear; I just have the days when there WERE sales showing.

There are a small number of unique items, so having each item show up as a different color bar, dot, line, or whatever, would be nice.

Can someone help me figure out how to chart this? I've spent hours pulling my hair out and getting nowhere. It's probably simple, but not intuitive enough for me, I guess!

    Thanks much for any help!

What Version of Excel? Charting has some changes between versions.
