I installed Ad-Muncher and Zone Alarm gave me a Warning! Ad Muncher is recording key strokes and mouse clicks and is a security risk.
Ad Muncher support said Zone Alarm is paranoid?
    Any thoughts
    Jimmy

My thoughts: Forget Ad-Muncher. Just use Firefox and download Adblock Plus. It's tried & true...and free!

I use the same (Adblock Plus) and as far as recording keystrokes goes that would automatically be considered a Keylogger which is completely unnecessary for use in anti-ad software. In other words Zone Alarm is probably right and those people that said it was paranoid are probably infected with viruses and are being considered as possible victims for identity theft.
Current Machine:HP Compaq 6910p with 4GB RAM, Core2Duo @ 2.20 GHz, Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family, Avast free, Malwarebyte's free, TP-Link wireless card (as the built in card has nothing but problems with empty solutions): The card identifies as "Atheros AR922X Wireless Network Adapter". [Not the best machine but it does internet, docs, and vids, and some games (PvZ, Spore)]

All the reviews I have found for Ad Muncher are similar to these: http://www.snapfiles.com/opinions/Ad...d_Muncher.html

I agree. The product may be just fine. I just don't think it's remotely worth any risk when so many other solutions abound. I haven't seen a pop-up window in ages with Firefox and the free AdBlocker add-in. If your web browser can't even handle this simple task, time to switch web browsers. If you really want to use AdMuncher, just make a system backup first so you can restore if things go bad. Doing that as standard operating procedure alleviates a lot of apprehension.

Ad muncher support is saying "keyboard hot keys can not work for any application if said application doesn't monitor keystrokes. so monitoring keystrokes in and of itself is not a bad thing." Me thinks I will go for Adblock plus

    Thanks Jimmy

True, I honestly didn't think about hotkeys but, then as I said before I just AdBlock which doesn't need any hotkeys. I wonder, does the log indicate whether or not the logged keys are sent over the net in any way shape or form. If you can determine without doubt that a keylogger isn't sending any information over the net then I'd say it wouldn't be a problem.
