A friend has two computers - one is a desktop and the other is a laptop. When he gets mail using Outlook Express using the laptop, it leaves a copy on the server. When he gets his mail on his desktop, the messages are downloaded and taken off the server. He would like to reverse this process so that when he gets his email using the laptop, the emails will be downloaded and taken off the server. What changes need to be made to the two computers to accomplish this. Thanks for your help.

I use OE on a desktop and a laptop. This is set in Outlook Express. Open OE > Tools> Accounts > highlight proper account > Properties > Advanced Tab and check at the bottom "Leave a copy of message on server" for whichever pc he wants. You can set both that way or just one or the other or neither. I don't have any messages left on my server unless I travel and then I change my options depending on my location.
