This I've discovered, just as I discovered that Switch to Full Editor provided for a Preview.

However, I also know from decades of experience that not all users are as easily given to tinkering with things as am I, such that many many never stumble upon the Preview sub-function.

Oddly, I've noticed a like behavior on other forums, where Preview is only available when using a certain method or methods of composing a post. And, I see many users on those forums asking for a Preview feature, not knowing that it's there, but just not obviously so.

I've just tested that, by beginning with the Fast Reply function, switched to Full Editor mode, and note that the Preview panel is not automatically displayed and populated.

Therefore, simply renaming the button as suggested would, IMO, confuse those who might be expecting a Preview to be immediately displayed, leading them to conclude that there was a problem.

You are getting different result than I am.
If I enter anything into the Fast Reply and the Switch, the Post Preview area appears.
If I click in the Fast Reply and then immediately click the switch to full, there is no preview, since there is nothing to preview.
