]I have a Vista Home Premium computer that worked well for some time. All of a sudden I would lose my internet connection but I would still have a network sharing connection to my other computer (Winn 7x64) and it still had an internet connection. I found that by going to Networking and Sharing center, clicking on Manage Networks and disabling and then enabling my LAN connection, I could reestablish my internet connection. It would stay connected for varying lengths of time before I lost it again (always hours not minutes) I think that this shows that my router is working o.k. but something in the Vista system is not. Any suggestions? This is a direct wired network setup, not wireless. Feed is from a cable modem to the Linksys WRT54GS 4 port router.

Could be a hiccup on the Modem. I know when Comcast crews are in the area I will sometimes get a interruption, but will come back on line in a few minutes.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

May be a firewall issue? Do you have a 3rd party firewall?

    cheers, Paul
