My son has an ol Storm Ezphoto reader installed in his system. He recently tried to use it and got the following error:EZphoto has caused an error in ILDLL32.DLL . EZphoto will now close. If you continue having problems, restart your computer.

Restarting has no effect on this error. Assuming ILDLL32.DLL was corrupted, he tried copying over that file, but access was denied. How do you restore a corrupted/damaged or modified file when that file is locked? I will be visiting him (650 mile drive) next week. The system was a factory install of WindowsME, so I understand that DOS is not available.

Hmmm. Could you access the system with a 98 boot disk, then overwrite the questionable file from the 98 disk?
