    hi all,

    is there a way to re-size pivot table charts and also prevent chart format deletion after refreshing.

    Prior to 2007, the only way to prevent the formatting changes is to use code to reset it to whatever you want when the table updates. You cannot resize the plot area yourself but it will adjust to take up any unused space if you remove things like the legend, and titles etc.

    Depends entirely on what formatting you want! The easiest thing is to record the changes you make from the default, and then call that macro from the relevant worksheet's Pivottableupdate event.
