I have a cell that is formatted as Date with the following format: 1/1/2010

When I enter a Julian date in the cell, the converted date shows in the formula bar, but the Julian date stays in the cell.

I tested it on another sheet in the same workbook and it works fine. I added a column next to the column that was affected and it does the same thing.

Any idea how I might proceed?

I tried to upload the file and it didn't work...I guess my company has some kind of block on that.

    Thank you, Tracy

It may be the case that the worksheet has accumulated extra (non-visible) data over the years. The Lounger who started this thread had a similar problem - as did the Lounger here. Could this be also your case - or do you think it could be something else? HTH

Thank you! It does seem to be some sort of corruption as there is no logical explanation for how it is behaving...
