Did a search within symbols to find a simple, basic check symbol I can use for insert in a checklist I've created. Surprised to see none, and I did look over all the symbols. Is there one, and if not, is tthere a way to import one?

PS- I found a check symbol in another Word document, and have pasted it into the document I am working in now. How do I import this symbol into Word's symbol glossary? I see no add or import options within any of the menus. Thanks.

You can use the uppercase R formatted using Webdings2 as your font - assuming that you have that font installed on your system of course.

    Hi Ben,

Go to Insert|Symbol, choose the Wingdings font and you'll find symbols there for both checked (tick or cross) and unchecked boxes.

Arial Unicode has 2713 and 2714. Type the number then press Alt+x.
