    I was having problemsa with the 2010 Archive, so I went back to an image backup of 2007, thinjing I'd try to archive some of the (now 22 gig) pst there. But Outlook kept giving me errorsa that the date file had not been closed properly, and kept trying to "fix" it.

    Didn't work. So then I thought I would uninstall Outlook 2007, and start over. After the Uninstall/re-install, the error was still there. So then I downloaded Microsoft's Cleanup, Microsoft Fixit 50154, ran the uninstall again, ten the Clean up, then re-installed. The error is still there.

    And that's even with letting Outlook set up a new PST each time.

    How do I get rd of this error so that I can get Outlook (2007 up and running?

    Do you have any add-ins installed?
    This MS help file might be useful.

    Catharine;

    First, I apologize, for I see that this ended up in the wrong forum...

    No, this is a totally clean install of MSO 2007...I uninstalled everything, and then started over.

    There's (obviously) something that Office is leaving behind in the uninstall.

    Regards,
    Chuck

    OK, I'm going to move this thread over to the Outlook forum - where more Outlook experts will see it.
