When I make a voice recording there is always an annoying repeating click in the background.
Do you have suggestions on how to remove the click or prevent it from being recorded?

If it is completely regular (every x frames only), then it is most likely a hardware issue. If not, are you somehow "grounding" the setup through some very subtle form of physical contact? HTH

Is your sound card on the motherboard or on a separate sound card? (If you did not buy a sound card then most likely it is on the motherboard.) Sound cards on motherboards are often notorious for adding unwanted noise to audio. You might want to invest in a sound card, basic ones are fairly cheap. If you have a laptop, there are USB sound cards (I used one when I was doing a lot of recordings with my old Dell laptop.)

Essentially all you need to test for hardware (radio) interferrence is a USB headset, which when plugged in will create its own little isolated audio controller that you will switch to in the recording software once its recognized. If the clicks disappear, keep using USB.

Ok, I tried again - this time I took the microphone cord, which I had coiled up and wrapped around itself and stretched it out.

I think the click is less intense,

Now I'm wondering about the sound card.
