I am hoping there are other users of Terabyte Unlimited Image for DOS since it is Fred Langa's recommended backup program. I recently upgraded from version 1 to version 2 and am stymied by some of the new options in the Makedisk Utility. The ones that have me confused are:

    ATAPI DMA (PATA)
    Disable SATA
    Disable SATA Bias
    Disable Global Geometry
Disable Align MBR for BIOS Auto Mode

I consider myself to be a moderately well informed user and understand most of the terms, but am not sure how I determine whether to select these settings. Are there any Terabyte Unlimited users here who can help. Their forum has not been helpful.

    Thanks,
    Ivan

Those options look like advanced disk control and you should not need them if TB4DOS is working for you.
Can you see all disks and files in the created images?

    cheers, Paul

    Paul,

I tried backing up with the defaults and restored to another disk. All worked well. Thanks for the help.
