This is a long shot, but I trie at the Adobe users group with no luck, and this is the best place on the web for answers to computer questions.

I'm trying to figure out how to create a PDF that I can upload to an LMS (ANGEL 7.4), and that will use the systems user token $USER_NAME$ to automatically fill in a student's name. Is this possible? I have a PDF certificate, and tried using the Forms menu in Acrobat 9, and I tried using Acrobat LiveCycle. But I've never used either before, and everything that seemed like it would have worked, didn't.

    Thanks!

I've been looking to do the exact same thing within a Moodle installation. Haven't found any feasible solutions yet.

There are a number of web based PDF generators that may take templates and variables and produce a PDF.
    Apache FOP
    JCopist
    List of software

    cheers, Paul
