I just noticed today that according to Windows 7,
my 320Gb HDD on the laptop is 451GB (which it isn't)

It also says that there are 186Gb of used space.
BUT if I ask it for the Properties of ALL the files on the drive (hidden and system inc)
File explorer says it is just over 100Gb.

Is this a bug or is there something amiss with my copy if Windows.

I have the same problem. I'll keep an eye on this thread for any comments.

I wonder what Disk Management indicates? 451 GB is certainly a legitmate reported size if a 500 GB drive was present ( 451 + a 14 GB recovery partition) but I have no idea how a 320 could be reported as such. If it were the other way around where reported is smaller than actual then improper detection or a fautly drive is probable.

When/if the computer tries to access space that doesn't exist...its going to be a problem I would think.
