A slightly esoteric question: When sorting received email, the from address can include special characters like # which messes up the sort order in the Inbox. Does anyone know of a tool to edit the from address in a received email? I'm using Outlook 2007.

    Thanks...

I wouldn't say it "messes up" the sort order - it's following unicode sort conventions. And Outlook does not let you edit the to and from fields for security reasons - all sorts of mischief could be perpetrated if that were possible. That said, the only thing I can think of that might do what you are asking, and I have not tried it for your purpose, is Outlook Spy.
