The rules constructs in 2010 seem the same as 2007 or 2003, so I don't understand what is wrong here:

When I send out some messages, I put my e-mail address (cwbillow@componentics.com) as the From, and a variant (cbillow@componentics.com) as part of the To.

This worked in 2007 and 2003, but I get an error here.

Pics attached show both the rule and the error.

Any help would be a great help.

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

I did notice that it says "...the server cannot process". I believe there are 2 kinds of rules, ones for Microsoft Exchange servers and ones for local Outlook mailboxes. It looks like this is being interpreted as a server rule. Are you using a server? Did the rule work and give this error or just not work at all?

I'll try this at home later and see what happens.

David, outside of a home network, no no server. And this rule worked fine before fine in 2007.

I added this exact rule to my Win7 HP machine using OL2010. It worked for me. Don't know where to go at this point.

Try deleting the rule and building it from scratch.

Do you have other rules that execute ahead of this one that have "Stop processing..." in them so this rule would never get execurted?

    Joe, I'll try rebuilding.

I do have other rules, but I cannot see why all of a sudden it wouldn't want to cooperate...

    Oh well....

Are you saying it was working in Outlook 2010 and now it not?

I think you need to review all your rules, the order in which they will be executed, and if there are conditions that may be being satisfied that would prevent the "problem" rule from being executed.

Joe, I just rebuilt the rule from scratch. It's the second rule in the list, behind only the "Clear Categories" that comes with Outlook.

I still get the same error.
