    can you reuse vista os on another PC after upgrading to windows 7

    Welcome to the Lounge Evan ,

    If your Vista is a full retail version and Windows 7 is not an update version, I think that is allowed. Any other combination is likely to be breaking one or more MS EULAs.

    Once you have removed the Vista OS from the original PC (when you clean install Win 7, it overwrites the Vista partition) it is allowed to install it on a new PC. You may have to contact MS to activate the new Vista installation.

    You are allowed to install an OS on another machine only if it was a retail version. OEM versions are to be installed only on the original machine.
