    Hi all,

How could I make a wireless connection which will allow external users to access only the internet and nothing else? I am suing Netgear DGN2000 wireless router.

    Many thanks,

You could encrypt you data on your PCs so a proper password would be necessary to access this. Heck you can require a password to access anything on you PC. You can also turn off sharing on your PC. This way all outside users would not be able access your PC because it does not allow sharing.

The easiest way for a non-technical person to do this is to get another router (doesn't have to be wireless). Connect all your "inside" computers to router #1, connect router #1 to the wireless router and connect the wireless router to the internet connection. Anybody accessing the wireless router will be blocked from getting to your inside network.

For more technical people, I would recommend loading custom firmware on the router, such as dd-wrt or openwrt, which will allow you to configure the wireless portion separately.
