Clicks spoiling Neil Young

Wanted some tunes while surfing the lounge, put on Niel Young and found my enjoyment spoiled by constant clicks when using Samsung DVD-ROM. Switched CD to TEAC CD-RW and all seems to be groovy . Drive seems to work otherwise. Any ideas?

Sparky...when was the last time the DVD-ROM got 'cleaned"? Either by those 'disk' cleaners that work like a CD or by 'wiping' the CDs themselves?
I have never used the DVD-ROM to play music, so that part I can't help you with , but I do have a Samsung DVD-ROM SD-612.
How 'old' is the CD? any scratches, etc?

Have a cleaner CD and have used it recently; but now that you come to mention it, I can remember using it in the CD-RW, but not so sure about the DVD. Will give that a go. Ta!
