I am running Windows 8 on a n XP SP3 desktop and I cannot delete the search browsing history in the Google drop down box. I have used the Windows Safety button and the remove browsing history and this runs a sequence to delete, but the Google data remains in place.

Do I need to find a Google option to clear this history?

Did you add a Google toolbar to IE8 or did you substitute the Bing search for Google or something else?

If you mean the search bar at the top right of IE, see http://bro.ws/772428L.

Dear Byron, My aplogies for confusing Windows 8 with IE8. I am running XP SP3, and I updated to IE8 and addes the Google search tool bar. The drop down Google search bar has all my searches for websites etc, and this is what I want to be able to delete.

I suspect I need to find the Google clear history button as using the IE8 safety delete browsing history does not deal with the Google based history, but I have not been able to find this.

Dear Clint, My aplologies for confusing Windows 8 with IE8, which is the problem. I am running XP SP3 with IE8, and I have added a Google search bar which has accumulated all my Google searches for websites etc. I want to be able to delete my Google browsing history, but I am probably on the wrong track with the IE8 safety button, which goes through the delete browing history sequence, but does not deal with the Google drop down history. I assume there must be a route in Google to allow this history to be deleted, but i cannot locate it.
