I don't like Vista's default games, I think the graphics are poor to say the least. I much prefer the sharper/snappier games that came with XP.
I do have a minor but annoying issue with spider solitaire. On a fresh running of spider dragging a card usually stutters/jerks for a few moves then is 100%.
On a fresh running of spider, if I toggle between minimize and restore a few time the problem doesn't exist.
Any one know of a permanent cure?
    Thanks

Tell us more about your machine as the amount of RAM, empty disk space, processor and other items including protection programs can and will affect ones machine's performance.

just turn off the card animations in Spider Solitaire, Dennis. On the Menu bar, click Game, select Options, then uncheck the "Display Animation" option, then click OK. the card animations are sometimes distracting anyway, regardless whenever I play either the XP or Vista version of Spider Solitaire.

    Thanks Noel for that suggestion.

I'll see how I like that approach.
