    Merging tables (Access 2000)

I am trying to merge several tables, especally the duplicate record of people in each table. What I have is a simple contact database. For example the first name, last name and address are identical, but other fields might attribute something like membership in an organization or some kind of demographic information. Some of the fields will be the same and others blank or different in the two tables being combined. Should I construct a SQL statement to accomplish this merge? Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ezra

I think first you need to examine your database design. It sounds like you information about a contact that should be in a child table. For example, you might have 2 entries for "John Smith": 1 in "Boy Scouts", the other in "Radio Club". You should have an Organizations table that is on the "many" side of a one-to-many relationship with the Contacts table.
