Is it possible to build a Pareto Chart based on the Pivot Table as displayed in the sheet labeled "Table" in the attached file? It's my understanding that the chart needs to include some cumulative totals in percents and the current PT doesn't have percentages. How would the Pareto chart be constructed on a separate sheet?

Where do you want the cumulative Percentages in the pivot table?

The cumulative percentages can be anywhere in the Pivot table but would be based on the numbers in column E.

A problem you have here is that there are duplicate entries within this layout.
Also what are the cumulative totals in relation to

    Overall?
By Group A, B, C, D (You ought to have better headings in row one to explain the pivot data anyway)

You won't be able to do it I don't think using the layout you have.

However, IF you are trying to get a running total over one of the category headings A,B,C or D
Then you might be able to do it by Adding the Count Field again
Then select it in the field settings and change the summary operation to Running Sum Over
    (See Image)

Really I would need an example of what you are trying to achieve
e.g. a Dummy Copy of Where you want the running totals to go

Thanks for your input Andrew! I, too, thought the layout of the data was questionable. This was a project that another person asked me to review.
