In column D, rows 1-10, I have listed various contract counterparties. These have been "uniquerly" sorted from column A, rows 1-100. In column E, rows 1-25, I have listed the contracts themselves, uniquely sorted from rows 1-100 in column B. What I would like to do in column F is sum the various contract values, listed in column C, rows 1-100, that correspond to the counterparty name, in column D, and contracts, as listed in column E. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure I've interpreted your question correctly - but here is an example I hand out in my classes (credit to J Walkenbach)

    Catharine,
There's no need for an array formula there - a straight SUMIF should do it.
