Does anybody know if there is a way to format text on a PPT slide with a yellow highlight as you can in Word? The only way I've found to achieve the same look is to create a yellow rectangle with no border and send it behind the text. Does anyone have a better solution please? Many thanks in advance for any help.

There's no way to do this in 2003. There's an undocumented way in 2007 but it definitely doesnt work in 2003

    Good evening

If you type the text and then right click the text box border and choose 'edit textbox' you can set the background colour to what you want, is that what you were after?
    Cheers

Unfortunately not! It's typically just the text for one item in a bulleted list or just one word in a text box. Thanks for replying anyway!
