Is there a simple way to modify a selected set of cells in Excel? For example, if I select one or more rows, where each row contains multiple cells, and I want to multiply each cell by 2 can I do this using native Excel (2007) or is a VBA macro required? If so, can someone provide an example for how this might be done?

    Easy if you know how.
    - enter 2 in any empty cell
    - Copy
    - Select the cells to be changed
    - Select Paste Special and make sure you select the "Multiply" option.

Thank you, pieterse! As you said, easy if you know how. I just don't use Excel enough to be aware of these things. Thanks again.
