I purchased a retail copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and installed it on a Dell workstation. Now I want to remove it from that workstation and reinstall it on a different machine. My worry is that when I begin the Activation/Registration/Validation process on the new system, Microsoft will think I'm trying to pirate a second installation on the same license. Is there a way to officially "un-install" or "un-activate" my license before reinstalling?

    Timothy Hi and welcome

At worst you might have to call microsoft instead of the online activation. Not a big problem. Go for it

No way to 'deactivate' a Windows license, you will probably have to go through a phone activation, just tell them, if they ask, that it is only being installed on ONE machine, and your just reloading it. Shouldn't be a problem.
