I recently installed IE8 and have encountered the following problem: The "Recent Pages" drop-down list is not appearing when I click on the small blue triangle in the upper left corner. The backwards and forwards arrows work fine, allowing me to move through the screens, but the list does not appear. I have found a couple of references to the problem when googled, but no helpful advice. I have opened windows in Safe Mode, and IE8 in the "no add-ons" mode, but still no luck. When I roll back to IE7, the problem disappears. I am using Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3. Any ideas?

The recent pages drop-down list is not included in my IE8. I do have the forward and backward arrow that works. I would be interested as to why my copy does not include it and what should be done to include it.
