The interface in vistas version of windows explorer is a mess. Is there a way to make the folder tree look like xp did? Also, can i get rid of the standard vista folder icons and go back to xp icons? Please tell me that someone can help!!!

    thanks!!

I'm afraid you are stuck with the looks of Windows Explorer as is unless you hunt down a third party explorer replacement.

Damn. I might just do that then. I had the same question, and the Vista version drives me to distraction.

That is fine if you want but I'd suggest you use Windows Explorer in Win7 for a while. If you are going to buy into the new Library paradigm I don't believe you'll get that sort of organization with current third party products. I find that many of the things I was used to doing I don't really need to do or there is a new way of accomplishing the same task.
